The International Gaming Expo has ended speculations on where it will be held next after disinformation has gone around the circles recently by finally extending its contract through 2015 with owners of the Earls Court. This expo brings together an impressive list of industry speakers which features various seminars, presentations and discussions on various topics related to the gambling industry.
There had been talks regarding the venue mainly because of media speculation on the owner of the venue, CapCo and a few sectors in the industry appear to undermine the future of the International Gaming Expo. Earls Court Olympia’s Managing Director confirms that CapCo had made it known their desire to develop the site to a complex project.
The scale and magnitude of this enormous project has raised significant implications for the city of London such that it had been moved to become part of the London Development Plan. This project was launched in January 2010 which is calculated to span 15 years of consultation, planning and funding. This requires political support from both local and regional levels. Consultations among sectors of the gaming industry shows a strong inclination to continue holding the event at Earls Court, which many consider to be the home of the IGE for two decades now.
Earls Court is a famous center favored by participants and any person with an interest in the International Gaming Expo. The contract extension has put some sense of certainty and stability to the expo’s future amidst speculations that it might have to move to a new venue which is not something many people may not be amenable to at this point.
Earls Court had been home to the International Gaming Expo for decades now which explains the affiliation of many to the site. In addition, the place is in a perfect London location which is accessible to the international gaming community. Surrounding the site are various good hotels, theaters, restaurants and hospitality facilities many gaming professionals expect in a vibrant city.
On January 2011, the big international casino in IGE will be celebrating its 21st year at the same event. This is nine months in advance of the opening of its flagship edition which started at Earls Court at 80% capacity. This move further reinforces the status of Earls Court as the most successful and popular business venue for international gamers.
