Atlantic City vows to make this year’s summer one of the grandest for its patrons. As early as this month, a tourism report said there are already signs of the consumers’ response to the city’s promotional campaigns, such as increases in the hiring of seasonal workers, reservations at the Atlantic City Convention Center and at Boardwalk Hall, and in hotel rooms occupancy as compared with 2009 figures.

Casinos in Atlantic City are preparing to launch more new games and deals starting on the Memorial Day Weekend that would entice foreign and local tourists. According to the New Jersey casino Control Commission, for the first four months of 2010, gambling revenue in Atlantic City was $1.17 billion. It has dropped 7.6 percent over the same period in 2009. The Le Grand Cirque will bring thrill at the Tropicana’s The Quarter from May 9 through June 16 with tickets at $25 and $35.

These are just some of the many enticements planned by the city that are guaranteed to delight visitors. In keeping up with the wide array of entertainment that’s expected to bring more tourists, a number of casinos are offering special hotel room packages. Resorts offers its Summer Tourist Package costing $129 plus taxes and fees, and the Players Package, at $149 plus taxes and fees.

The two room packages are valid from Sunday to Thursday from June 27 to Sept. 2 and offer a deluxe room at the Rendezvous Tower, complimentary use of indoor pool, 20 percent discount on massage services, and 10 percent discount on your next room package.
